The children we care for are directly impacted by your giving. Each sponsorship dollar is maximized to holistically care for the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of the child. You will be given exclusive access that will allow you to share pictures, correspond, and engage with other sponsors and the children you are sponsoring.
 

FAQ’s

How can I join a team that isn't a featured race?

The team captain will have to add you. Please reach out to the captain of the race you want to join, or contact amyteather@oasisfororphans.org if you don’t have the captain’s contact info.

What is the recommended way to fundraise for TEAM Oasis?

TEAM Oasis uses an online, peer-to-peer fundraising method as our primary fundraising mechanism. It is fast, easy, safe, and secure.  To set up your fundraising page, please go to the List of Races page and select the race of your choice.

Will I get a notification if someone donates to my page?

No. At this time, there are two ways to see who has donated to your page.

  1. We suggest you bookmark your fundraising page and check it regularly. There will be a list of who has donated along the right-hand side of the page.
  2. Login to your Kindful account, Scroll down to Reports, Click on the corresponding report for your fundraising page.

How do I track my fundraising progress?

You will need to login to your kindful account (where you first created your fundraising page). Once logged in, select your fundraising page from the “Causes” section on the left-hand side of the page.

Once on the admin side of your fundraising page, you will see a “Public Page” button at the top of the page. This will take you to the public view of your fundraising page. This will show you who has donated and where you stand with your fundraising goal.

We suggest you bookmark your “public page,” so you can get to this view faster. You may also want to copy/paste the URL of your public page to a place you can quickly reference.

Can a donor give me a check vs. donating online on my fundraising page?

Yes! Please have the donor make the check out to “Oasis for Orphans” and be sure to have them include “TEAM Oasis – YOUR NAME” in the memo field.

Once the check is received, Oasis for Orphans will send the donor a letter acknowledging the donation within two weeks’ time. Then, in January, Oasis will send a tax deduction statement.

How do I enter an offline donation/pledge?

You will need to login to your kindful account (where you first created your fundraising page). Once logged in, select your fundraising page from the “Causes” section on the left-hand side of the page.

Once on the admin side of your fundraising page, you will see an “Add Pledge” button at the top of the page. Please enter as much information as you have and follow the prompts, then click the “save” button.

Can a donor give me cash?

Yes! However, Oasis cannot issue an acknowledgment of a cash donation nor send a tax deduction statement.  You can either make a donation online or mail a check to:

What if I was to have a bake sale, garage sale, lemonade stand, etc. to raise money for TEAM Oasis?

That is great! We think running is plenty of work in and of itself, but if you choose to get creative in your fundraising, simply mail in any checks to our financial office.
